Investigating the Incident
For confidentiality reasons, incident reports are delivered only to the SBDP Safety Committee Director. He/she then investigates the incident by:
After the investigation is complete, the Safety Director then provides a proposal about how to best resolve the incident. The SBDP board discusses this proposal, provides input and votes on whether to accept the proposal. If approved, the Safety Director will communicate the proposal to involved parties. If the board does not approve the proposal, the Safety Director revises the resolution as needed until board approval is achieved. The Safety Director then presents this board-approved resolution to involved parties.
Corrective Actions
Based on the nature and seriousness of the incident, the Safety Director and SBDP board will consider a range of potential corrective actions. It's important to understand that these actions are determined on a case-by-case basis, considering all factors related to the incident. Potential measures may include, but are not limited to, the following options:
Arizona Law requires all medical personal who treat a dog bite to make a report to Pinal Animal Control. You will be visited by an officer and the dog who bit you will be quarantined. If you have proof of current Rabies Vaccination, most of the time, your dog is quarantined in your home. Without proof, dogs are taken to a facility and the owner is responsible for payment.
Note: If medical attention was required, you will need to provide copies to the SaddleBrooke Dog Park Safety Committee.
