SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

At the SaddleBrooke Dog Park, we are committed to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all dogs and their owners. These tips can help you have a safe and enjoyable visit.

  • Remove your dog from the park as soon he/she crosses the line between play and aggression.

  • Be mindful of the entrance gates. When a new dog arrives, call or move your dog away from the gate to allow a new dog to enter without incident.

  • Keep your dog in sight.

  • Please make sure to give full attention to your dog when you're at the park.

  • Agitated dogs should be separated and either removed or taken to another side of the park to calm down.

Resolve Issues Using Communication

We believe in fostering a sense of community among dog owners. To ensure a harmonious and safe environment, we encourage members to engage in open communication and take proactive steps to resolve issues that may arise during their visits.

If you find yourself in a situation where you're uncomfortable with another dog's behavior or the actions of their owner, consider starting a polite and respectful conversation. Oftentimes, issues can be resolved through simple communication. Approach the other owner calmly and express your concerns. Seek to engage the owner in a constructive discussion to understand their perspective and discuss potential solutions. Sometimes, a change in behavior, leash usage or a simple apology can go a long way in resolving minor conflicts.

Prioritize Safety

Our safety protocol is guided by official SaddleBrooke Dog Park rules and Arizona State Law Statutes 11-1014 & 11-1025. If there is an aggressive incident, a dog or owner bite, or any situation that poses an immediate threat to safety, please report the incident as soon as possible. This will help us take appropriate measures to address the situation.

It’s the AZ Law

If the incident involves a dog bite, it must also be reported to Pinal County Animal Care and Control at (520) 509-3555 per Arizona state law. Other mandates dictate that the dog shall be quarantined for at least 10 days and the owner of a dog that bites a person is also liable for damages suffered by the person bitten.
